ANSWERING THE CALL for a luxury residence that takes full advantage of its picturesque surroundings, A SCAPE Eco Lodges were born. Cousins and business partners Ben and Nick Vitale of Vitale Developments dreamt up the design for a tiny home equally suited to a rural or coastal site. A high-end product with a sustainable focus, built to order in a timely manner, and all the modern conveniences required for a cosy stay surrounded by nature.

Diminutive in size yet generous in essence, A SCAPE Eco Lodges offer a weekend escape or guest accommodation for those in need of some time away from the daily demands of modern living. Here, you can reset, recharge and enjoy the simple act of being still. Head outdoors to explore the surrounding wilderness, then retreat back to the cabin for shelter and respite.

A SCAPE Eco Lodges utilise eco-friendly materials and sustainable design practices to sit lightly within the landscape. A repurposed shipping container forms the shell, with a recycled aluminium A-frame surround and thermal-efficient Colorbond roofing. Double-glazed louvre windows provide cross ventilation and a constant connection to the outdoors, while the elevated ceilings add a sense of spaciousness and soothing acoustics. Solar power and tank water make the off-grid dream attainable.

While the structure is defined, colours and internal finishes can be tailored to the client. Downstairs, there’s a fully equipped kitchen and living area with fireplace and pull-out queen bed, with an upstairs mezzanine breakaway space accessed by a foldaway staircase. The 20-foot cabin sleeps two, while the 40-foot option accommodates four.

Comfort is key and every convenience has been thought of – from the portable induction cooktop to generous wardrobe storage. Yet the main purpose of A SCAPE is for the user to spend as little time inside as possible.
